Care Team Supervisors

Caterham, Wallington, Sutton and Purley

Shift work with shifts selected from set available patterns

£10.60 per hour

Our client is seeking Team Supervisors to be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of their service including staff management and record keeping.  The team supervisor is to lead the shift ensuring service users receive the highest standards of care and support whilst adhering to company policies and procedures and ensuring requirements of the Care Quality Commission are met.  Ensuring service users are treated with respect, dignity and in a way that enables and promotes their independence as individuals.

Principle duties and responsibilities:

  • Shift leading
  • Shift/People management
  • Ensure service users receive support within the framework of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS);
  • Ensure petty cash is managed within company guidelines;
  • Ensure medication is administered in accordance with procedures;
  • Oversee the preparation of medical/neurology appointments and letters.
  • Support referrals activities by attending service user assessments and host service visits
  • Attend and prepare service users reviews
  • To be part of the on call team.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in the health and social care sector
  • Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards
  • Sound working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual
  • Self-confidence and the ability to manage challenging situations
  • IT literate
  • Ability to address and respond to employee issues in a fair and consistent manner
  • Strong organisational, time management and planning skills
  • Flexible, professional and positive approach to multi-site working
  • Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping
  • Driving License would be preferable
  • Numeracy level 1
  • Literacy level 2
