Part-Time School Transport Drivers

£10.00 per hour
Within this role you will be responsible for carrying out daily checks on your vehicle and ensuring it is in a road worthy condition at all times (i.e. oil, fuel, water, tyres, cleanliness etc.) and completing the daily defect reporting procedure.
Driving courteously and considerately at all times, obeying speed limits and road laws, you will be responsible for following a route schedule, collecting children with Special Needs from home and taking them to school in the morning and collecting them from school in the afternoon and taking them home.
This will include being responsible for in the operation of equipment, including mechanical lift, wheelchairs, tie-downs, seat belts, harnesses and other adaptive equipment. You will also assist with safe loading and unloading of students as required and taking responsibility for your passengers whilst they are on board.
We’re looking for:
- You to have completed the driver CPC modules and hold a Drivers Qualification Card.
- Hold a full clean PSV driving licence category D1 (No Restrictions) with at least 2 years driving experience
- Ability to pass a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced disclosure.
- Hold a valid digital tachograph card.
- You will be well organised, reliable and presentable individual
- Able to cope with sometimes challenging situations, while never losing focus on safe driving priorities
You’ll need:
- A full, clean driving licence which enables you to drive a 17 seat minibus (Manual Licence, No restrictions)
