Temporary Contract (6 Months)

£15.99 per hour

Our client is looking for an experienced Member & Residents Services/Complaints Officer for a 6 month contract with a possibility to becoming permanent.

They are looking for someone with both a repairs background, an understanding of social housing and someone who has experience dealing with formal complaints (stage1/2 members enquiries).

The candidate should have exceptional analytical skills in order to investigate complaints with resilience and confidence.  Ideally must have a local authority background and understand the political environment (understand the role of members) surrounding complaints – i.e be able to suggest alternative solutions to demonstrate professionalism.  Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of public sector complaints procedures.

Essential Knowledge:

  • A general knowledge of a social housing responsive repairs service and the role of elected members, members of parliament and the ombudsman.
  • Knowledge of public sector complaints procedures

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of working in a social housing organisation.
  • Experience of dealing with members of the public in sometimes stressful situations where their expectations cannot always be met.
  • Experience of investigating issues and responding to customers and external organisations through correspondence.
