Head Chef

£22,500 - £24,500 per year (depending on experience and availability)

(No committal hourly pay package may also be available)

Our client is seeking a Head Chef for a sports club based in Sutton.  They are looking for an individual who is confident and has good communication skills as you will be required to communicate with staff and clients on a daily basis.  You will be responsible for cooking the bar menu, match teas, buffets and function food for members and non-members.

The kitchen is open Monday– Sunday 12pm -9pm

Hours are done on a monthly rota basis for a minimum or 36 Hours per week. The maximum of 2 weekends off per month is offered with a minimum of 1 weekend per month. The hours above are subject to change.                       

This role is subject to a 60-day probation period. On successful completion holiday pay and a standard work place pension will be made available to you

Requirements of this Job role:

• You need to have at least 2 years-experience in a similar job role.
• You are required to have a valid UK Driving Licence.

Job Roles include:

• Cooking the bar menu daily
• Cooking for functions
• You will also be in charge of staff management which includes making sure that all staff are trained and working to the standard required
• You will be required to liaise with clients - this includes making sure that all key information is taken
• You will also have to make twice weekly food and drink orders for the kitchen
• Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean, tidy and organised
• Completing a food safety management book on a daily basis
