Production Operative

West Norwood

Our client is seeking a Production Operative for their production line.

The duties will include:

Manually and mechanically fill finished paint products to fulfil orders and Warehouse stock requirements, and manufacture paints using various equipment to formulation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to company policies and Health & Safety regulations
• Decant size filling, powder filling
• Label tins with paint details using production paperwork
• Liaise with Lab to ensure paint spec meets requirements
• Fill tins with mixed paint as per order requirements 
• Comply with base filling procedures and checks
• Put tins in cages and (forklift / transfer back to Warehouse
• Clean mixing pots and return to store
• Clear Production floor of pots before start of day
• Paint making, bulk production and special batches (as trained)
• Maintain good housekeeping at all time within your area and helping others in other areas to ensure high standards are maintained
• Adapt to any job given by your supervisor / line manager  

Previous experience within a chemical batch manufacturing environment (would be desirable), together with production line filling experience (useful).  Qualified up to GCSE English and Maths (Grade C).

• Willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to interpret and follow order details
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Able to read and understand formulation manufacturing instructions.
• Weigh/Measure raw materials accurately
• Physically able to lift heavy loads (25kg)
