My client one of the UK's Largest M&E Contractors are looking for a Mechanical Construction Manager or Senior Mechanical Site Manager to join there operational team on large M&E commercial project in Central London.

As construction manager you will report to a Mechanical lead and take control of the mechanical package on the initial stage which has an overall M&E value of circa £15m. The project will run for 2 years.

Job Description

As Mechanical Construction Manager you will be reporting directly to the Project Manager

On a daily basis you will be managing and supervising a team of site personnel

You will be implementing the site safety plan & rules

Check that employees have the relevant training and expertise 

Manage the labour resources on site to ensure efficient working

Complete time sheets accurately 

Liaise with payroll with payroll 

Maintain discipline on site

Manage and train apprentices

Assist Construction Manager to plan labour & material resources

Purchase materials as required in the most cost effective manner

Keep all plant maintained & kept secure.

Reduce costs as far as possible

Check all materials before you install them

Assist in ensuring systems are handed over to the client

Skills and Qualifications

•             At lease 5 years experience in a supervisory capacity

•             Candidates who hold a SMSTS/CSCS card are at a distinct advantage

•             Possess excellent communication skills

•             Demonstrate strong leadership skills
